The Jeld-Wen Paint Grade FD30 44mm External Fire Door is a durable, fire-rated solution designed for exterior applications where safety and reliability are paramount. Perfect for use as a temporary low cost fire door option for contractors, too. Certified to FD30 fire resistance standards, this door provides 30-minute fire protection, tested to BS476: Part 22: 1987 and Certifire CF192 approved. Its flush face construction incorporates softwood stiles and rails, a tubular chipboard core, and exposed hardwood lippings on both long edges for enhanced durability in external conditions. Supplied unfinished, this door is designed for a high-build paint finish, though staining is not recommended. It allows for maximum trimming of 6mm from the bottom and 4mm from each long edge, while the top must remain untrimmed to maintain fire certification. For installation, intumescent strips must be applied to the top and sides of the door or frame to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations. On-site glazing or aperture cutting is not permitted, unless completed by a BWF-Certifire licensed processor. Backed by a 10-year guarantee against manufacturing defects, the Jeld-Wen Paint Grade FD30 44mm External Fire Door offers dependable fire resistance, a smooth paint-ready surface, and robust construction, making it a reliable choice for external applications.
